in device manager have you tried right clicking it and actually making it a partition with a drive letter?

You'll want to right click on the unallocated space in disk management and select "New Simple Volume" then just follow all the prompts and it should be accessible in windows

 A looked all over the inter net and spent 3 hours trying to fix it and tried that and I took me 3 mins to fix it..... Thank you Soo much
