I wouldn't mount your XBox upside down, the DVD drive won't work properly if you do. Velcro would work(as long as you get actual Velcro or a good knockoff brand), but honestly I would try to mount your XBox with something that doesn't rely on adhesive.

I feel like its too much weight and you risk having the xbox just drop. Also, you should be concerned about covering the ventilation areas. And if you cant put velcro there, the velcro not being strong enough is even more of a concern.

it would work if you use good Velcro an enough of it but be sure to mount it with the disk drive in the proper position.

The disc drive wont function upside down. I suggest getting some shelf brackets or something like that to hold it up from the bottom
