Im helping a friend build a pc rn and we ran into an issue with it not posting on our first start up. all i get is the Q-code 00. Any ideas?

CPU: Intel i7 5820k @ 4.5Ghz Motherboard: Asus X99 Deluxe Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport DDR4 32 GB GPU: MSI GTX 980 TI Case: Corsair Graphite 780T

Storage: Samsung 850 Pro 512 GB PSU: Corsair HX 850i Cooling: Custom EKWB Loop Display: Asus PB287Q 4K, Asus ROG PG348Q Ultrawide Sound: Schiit Magni 3 and Modi 2 Uber Headphones: Sennheiser HD 6XX

Try booting without a GPU. Check for any unintended contact with the motherboard. Try booting with one stick of RAM , if it doesnt work, try a different one stick of RAM.

 

If no luck, try booting with a different CPU, although I know that might not be an option.

its a ASUS Maximus VIII Hero, and the manual just says "Not Used"

ive tried booting with different RAM and it still gave me the same thing

i mean like Ive tried using single stick in different dimms and different ram

didnt solve it
