Which 960 is faster for games like GTA V and Arma 3? Gtx 960 windforce 4gb OC or EVGA gtx 960 SSC 2gb? They are virtually the same price.

They're all going to perform pretty much the same. The main difference comes down to the coolers and the VRMs. However, overclocking really comes down to the silicon lottery. The 960 runs cool enough that the different coolers don't really make a difference.

So should I go for the windforce just for the vram?

I'll be playing quite a few games that AMD cards will worsen on. Also, I like shadowplay.

+1 actually, there are a few games where my friend's (2 friends actually) 770 would out perform my 290x, including arma 3...or maybe it's because he has an i7-3770k (and i5-4570k) both stock vs my OCed 3570k @4.4ghz...while I'm able to laugh at my friend who got a free 1440p monitor from his father (as he owns a business and they throw out 780ti's and titans as they are replaced by 980ti's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but can't run any games on highest settings while being above 60fps (such as rainbow 6, 120fps vs 100 to start off with and when I use super res at 1440p with same settings as him, 100 just vs 70fps where R6S runs like crap when running at less than 100fps (hence why he runs r6s at 1080p on his 1440p monitor))

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Arma 3 uses PhysX which will lag on AMD. Arma 3 loves to molest the CPU for some reason, so that'll be why.

I know :D, but I'm pretty sure that Arma (all versions and Dayz SA) all loves CPU OC where I saw no more than 2fps while in CSGO, there was a 50fps avg boost (280 to 330 on active maps (or 80 in arena maps...from 350 to 430) so... plus this is the only  other CPU intensive game I play)

Imma just leave these here. Note that the 2nd video is Nvidia games (1st has some too and shows frame time which is why I put it in) and the 280 still wins by a bit. This is why people recommend AMD cards, @max_headroom. I'm also pretty sure that Arma 3 does CPU phys x, by the way.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.
