Customizing firewall and defender?

Hello! I'm a noob who is getting into computer building and learning how programs work. My question to you all is can you customize windows 10 fire wall and defender so that it's justill as good as a third party security? If so how would I go about doing this?

This is somewhat of a flawed question since each firewall does things differently. In short terms, no. If you want more info continue. Microsoft's Firewall isn't going to suit you well if you go to unknown and potentially hazardous places, on the flip side, something like McAfee's Firewall is over protective and even blocks peer 2 peer game connections.
