First Completed Build

Hey guys, as promised here are the final pics after the build. I know its prolly not the most impressive setup y'all have seen but this was a big learning curve for me as my very first build. Hope y'all enjoy.

 

Specs:

 

Case - Fractal Design Arc Midi R2

 

Mobo - ASUS Maximus VI Formula

CPU - Intel i7 4770K (Stable overclock of 4.3GHz @ 1.195v)

RAM - Mushkin Blackline 32GB (Rated for 2400Mhz, running @ 2133Mhz)

GPU - EVGA GTX 780 (ACX Cooler)

PSU - Corsair AX860

 

Cooling - Corsair H100i with two Bitfexix Spectre Pro 120s in a pull, two BF Spectre 140s in the front and one Spectre 140 in the rear as exhaust.

 

SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 256GB (Two in RAID 0)

HDD - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM

ODD - ASUS slim external Blu-ray combo drive

Backup - Seagate External 3TB (USB3)

 

Keyboard - Corsair K70

Mouse - Razer DeathAdder 2013

Monitor - ASUS PB278Q 27" (2560x1440)

I'm gonna go ahead and apologize for shitty photos, my friend was borrowing the good camera so I had to use my iPad to take them. Plus I haven't had a chance to install Photoshop yet so I had to resize them in paint. lol.

I have 1.195 set in the UEFI, but I guess the way AIDA64 works it bumped it up to 1.216 when I did the stress test.

 

Really? I thought I had like a really mediocre processor. lol.

It's louder than I expected honestly... It's my first mechanical keyboard. I might try those silencing kits later down the road. Idk. The only reason I got it was because Logan on TekSyndicate recommended it on their review video.

Thanks bro. Hey, it may be overkill if I was just doing gaming, but baking high poly definition to low poly meshes is a very intensive process and its what I do on a daily basis.

It's alright; I don't regret it. If you bash on the keys you can hear them on the other side of the house, but if ur light on the type, then they can be quite... The spacebar is definitely noticeable though.

So basically it's quiet when you need it to be and as loud and ragey as you when you need to be. I'll consider an MX Red switch keyboard then. Thanks!

Full slots look better than two empty slots, and it's pretty much the easiest way to "future proof" a system for the foreseeable future.

Actually, I got a pretty good deal on them. Fifty bucks was really the difference between 16 and 32. Plus, yea 4 dimms looks better than 2. lol.
