First time overclock

I'm changing to a MSI gaming 5 mobo tomorrow and I am doing my first overclock. what is some tips ou'd give? also whats the Best free CPU stress test

Try looking at a Linus tutorial or Jayz Two Cents one, and AIDA 64 and CPU Z you should check out

Go slowly with the clock and use aida 64 for stressing. What CPU do you have? and what chipset?

XTU from intel (your chip manufacturer)

p95 with small buffer 1344 sizes

1. Don't expect to get 5ghz with 1.0v. Whatever settings you see on the net, take it with a grain of salt and assume you'll do a lot worse.
2. ALWAYS use Fixed voltage.
3. Monitor your temps 24/7. Especially during the first few min. of your stress test. Don't let them get out of hand.

For stress test, I like Prime95.

I5 4670k and a Z97 MSI gaming 5 mobo
