Fan splitter help

If I use a fan splitter to power 2 fans from one 3pin fan port will both the fans only run %50 as fast as normal?

They should be controlled by the motherboard if they are plugged in that way by the spilter.

no they will both run at full speed and draw twice as much current

Depends on the Splitter. Many Splitters have 1x5v and 1x7v. If that´s the case, not both can run with 100%.

? I would say thats very rare case. Fan header cables are PWR-GND-RPM(-PWM). Your splitter sounds like molex connector with only certain cables connected.
