3x 120mm or 2x 140mm fan set up?

Whats better to have as an intake?

I will be buying 2 (or 3) Aerocool dead silence fans (with red leds)

 

I want a red themed build so I really do want fans with red red's on them>

I tihnk these are the quietest red led fans out their, let me know otherwise?

If silence is your thing, larger fans run slower meaning they make less noise.

2x140 is quieter

3x120 is more performance

I'll go with 2x 140mm then. Also, these fans come with 7v adapters. Can I wire the fan to the 7v adapters then run that to a fan controller?

if youre using a fan controller there is no need for resistors

You technically can, but it's not going to be of any use as your fan controller will do the same thing as the 7v adapters!
