Wow, you are one big conspiracy theorist, aren't you?

Calling someone an as you say "conspiracy theorist" is another way to say you do not understand. Please if you have an opinion about what I posted try and explain your point of view as calling people names is unproductive, uninformative, and also against forum rules. :-)

I see. The person who was belittling other users is now turning the tables on me.

Nobody is forced to buy Shield. It is not required to play games. I don't see how it's ruining anything. Nvidia will never control all of PC gaming, as NOT EVERYONE WILL HAVE SHIELD. You have maximum control over your gaming experience. Nvidia is not and will never hinder that. They would be brought down quickly by it's peers before it would ever happen.

The thing that shield disrespect's is PC gaming at it core foundation of what makes it great and that is choice and flexibility to configure your PC anyway your choose within any budget you set or can afford

It can't really disrespect that at all. It's not for everyone, even Nvidia said it. This would be the case if Shield were required, but it IS NOT, and WILL NEVER BE.

I want to have max control over the quality of my PC gaming experience and sheild will not let me do that.

It can't be a problem, since it isn't a requirement. You don't have to buy one.

I hope you can see where I am coming from and that is from the point of view as a PC gamer and hardware enthusiast. nvidia shield is trying to take away the hardware enthusiast aspect out of PC gaming and to me that's one of the most fun and important aspects of PC gaming that sets it apart from consoles

Nvidia Shield takes away nothing. It's not like when you buy Shield, Nvidia comes to your house and takes your keyboard and mouse away.

If shield becomes a mainstay and hypothetically took over the only choice and opinion you would have is what ISP you choose to go with and that's not what system building and being a PC/Gamer/system builder enthusiast is about.

This is actually incomprehensible. But, if I can understand any of this, Shield is NEVER going to ruin the market. It's impossible, with a product that is inaccessibly expensive and limited to higher internet speeds. It is a niche product.

@mickipicki

I apologize for derailing your thread, and turning it into a few people bickering back and forth. I am not the root cause, but I still feel I need to apologize.

Meant to say GRID not Shield.

Still, GRID will never be required. No one needs to use it, it's just an offering.

We still do not understand nvidia's motive behind it. Grid seems like a marketing stunt more than anything but the only application in where it would be of benefit would be if a gaming cafe used it or LAN parties etc. But then again if nvidia controls it then what happens when the Internet is down.

or the damn confusing Rx-2xx series

I don't care if they call the new cards the "Cow Turd 3000" line of cards. If they perform, then I am buying whichever one is less than but closest to $300 (of course looking at specs and not JUST going by price)

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.

AMD FX 8350 CPU / R9 280X GPU / Asus M5A97 LE R 2.0 motherboard / 8GB Kingston HyperX Blue 1600 RAM / 128G OCZ Vertex 4 SSD / 256G Crucial SSD / 2T WD Black HDD / 1T Seagate Barracude HDD / Antec Earthwatts 650W PSU / Coolermaster HAF 922 Case

If only I had the resources to start up my own GPU manufacturing company and make a like up of mid-range cards the COW Turd 3000, 2000, 1000.  I know I would have at least 1 buyer...

yeah man I got that new piece of shit in my computer. It's the best piece of shit I could get for the price. It is a beast piece of shit because it's about a foot long and it needs 3 fans to keep it from getting too hot.

Intel HD 9001 > AMD + Nvidia.

No but really, @Bluejay0 explained it quite well.
