Good MMO Mouse?

Go to solution Solved by xBlizzDevious,

Thanks for the input, guys. I went to the local computer shop and they had a G502 in stock which seemed to be most suited to my needs so I bought that. Relatively impressed with it so far but it'll take some getting used to as it's quite different from the M95.

Hi all,

I've had a Corsair M95 for nearly 4 years now but the scroll wheel on it fell into the mouse and no longer works. I loved the mouse and would likely buy it again but I want to see what your opinions on other mice are before I do so.

I need the following:
- standard buttons (obviously)
- back & forward buttons
- scroll wheel with middle-click

- ~3k DPI (or more and ability to set lower)
- preferably two or more additional buttons for setting up macros.

Thanks in advance!

That is not the classification I would list for an MMO mouse but I agree with @Zackfoo's recommendation of the M600. Mined served me well until I replaced it with a Naos 7000

wait. how many buttons you need? typically mmo mouse involves tons of buttons like g600 or corsair latest the smither or some shit like that i can't speel it and i lazy to look it up.

so if you just need mouse 4 and 5 which means only 2 then get common mouse will do some have 2 or 3 even 4.

Ticks the boxes, however I'd feel that there's too many buttons that are too easy to press. How does back/forward work (specifically mouse4 and mouse5 in-game)

I got used to the buttons fast and almost never pressed something on accident. I would try to avoid lifting it since you might run into accidtenal presses morte easily but even then it is not a real issue.

I don't specifically want an "MMO" mouse, but I want more than the standard + mouse4/5. ie. left, right and middle clicks, forward, back and two or more buttons that are programmable and macro-able.

Razer naga has done a few of my friends pretty well. Buttons are not easy to accidentally press every time i've used it

Cool. What's Razer's software like for macros and such? I had a Lachesis 5600 before the M95 but I don't remember how it was - just that it only worked properly with a specific version of the driver.

Ok. Do some of the buttons behave as back/forward and/or are they programmable as such?

All programmable in 3 profiles per programm and can me have 2 functions similar to pressing the shift key to get another letter on your keyboard. Software is ok. I never worked with it to much but there were not major complications.

uh jeah...i think my brain shortcircuited there. Thats the one.

I think I might just say no to that one based on the price. Ouch!!!

£70 for a mouse is quite a bit, but £115? Nope. Just nope.
