I just finished building a PC, the specs were:

-CPU: Intel i7-6700

-GPU: MSI R9 390X

-PSU: EVGA 750W 80+ Bronze Power Supply

-RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4-2600 RAM

-Storage: Seagate 2TB SSHD, Intel 730 Series 240GB

-Case: NZXT S340

-Cooler: Hydro Series GTX H100i

-Mobo: Z170A MSI Gaming M7

The power lights were turned on and even if I pressed the button on the Mobo or the front panel power button, It won't give me even a beep. I tried pulling out the RAM, and it still didn't produce a beep. None of the fans are running, nor the lights except for the ones on the Motherboard. Just a quick note, are the fans that are installed on the top of the radiator supposed to be connected to the CASE FAN ports on the mobo, or the cooler itself?

Also, my CMOS light comes on when I press the power switch. Is this relevant, and if it is, how do I fix it?

It's my first build EVER, so it would be a lot helpful if you explained things in detail.

In the picture below, I tried removing everything but the barebones with the stock cooler. That didn't work either...

Thank you.

Do you mean the 8-pin? Yes.

Ahh yes, the 4-pin is just for stability. Have you checked if the power button is connected to the motherboard properly, if it is try and jump the corresponding with a screw driver,

The 4-pin? There's only a 24-pin and a 8-pin. Can you point it out, prehaps?

I think he meant he tried using the power button that is soldered to the board and it didn't work either..

There is a seperate power button, and that doesn't work, either.

This sounds like a faulty motherboard, look online for a test to see if it's your PSU, if it isn't start the RMA process on you motherboard.

What is the RMA Process? Can you get me a link?

When you RMA an item bought that arrived faulty you start a process to get it replaced, this is called an RMA, in this case you'll have to contact MSI, they'll probably have more information on their website.

Shit, isn't that stuff really complicated, and I have to spend money on shipping? How do I know if my PSU is the problem or the Mobo?

Not complicated, just tedious, I don't know if you'll have to pay.for shipping and you can buy cheap PSU testers online.
