Hey everyone,

When I built my pc a few months ago intended for it to be used only for gaming, but some time has passed and I want to get into streaming and maybe start a youtube channel in the future.  Is a 4690k able to do those without any major issues? Since its only a 4 core without hyper threading I know it wouldn't be efficient at video editing, I just want to know how well it would perform.

My Rig:

-CPU: Intel 4690k

-CPU cooler: Hyper 212 EVO

-Motherboard: MSI z97 Krait Edition

-RAM: 16gb Gskill Ares @1600mhz

-Graphics card: AMD Radeon 7800 series (Borrowed the card from a friend, will be upgrading to an EVGA 970 ssc in the near future)

-Power supply: EVGA Supernova G2 750w

-SSD: Sandisk 240gb

-Harddrive: WD blue 1T

-Case: Fractal Design Define R5

ok thanks! :) do you notice a drop in frames or performance when you stream? @Swndlr

You shouldn't notice much if you're using OBS.  It has really good hardware h.264 encoding.

Not really, depends on the games to be honest. The heavier the game is to begin with, the harder it will be on your PC to stream it / record it.
