Sound cards aren't bad, they're an easy and cheap solution for people with limited knowledge.

onboard sound is an easy and cheap solution, soundcards are just another piece of hardware that offers very little to the end user.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

The lack of knowledge is what leads consumers to buy bad products. I wouldn't call sub $100 cheap. Read the FAQ at the top of the page to learn why sound cards are bad.

To OP - Just get the cheapest sound card if you are really stuck on one. If you want to get something better, buy a fiio product.

yes, your onboard you have is always cheaper than a soundcard ... cause you already have it.

and modern onboard is not sonically inferior to a soundcard by any large enough margin besides output power.

"Pardon my French but this is just about the most ignorant blanket statement I've ever read. And though this is the internet, I'm not even exaggerating."
