So I am in the process of putting together a new computer.

I am on a budget and I saw that GTX 570 aren't too bad of a card, they only lack in vRAM. I don't mind turning down settings for it to fit within the 1280Mb limit. I just wanted to know if it would be capable of running more modern games such as Fallout 4 or Blackops 3. I have found one for about £20 and up to £50. Is it worth it?

The computer parts will be taken from other computers so I only have CPU and RAM as of yet.

CPU: i5 4460

RAM: 8GB

A 750 ti isn't a bad choice if you can't power a VGA card. The 950 is a better choice if you have the PSU for it.

Get a used 7950. Problem solved.

Yeah it's from a prebuilt machine which has a 110W PSU. But I checked the 750ti is twice the price and so is the 950. But are they that much better?

That PSU NEEDS to be upgraded. 500w minimum recommended. The 750ti is around $120 USD, the 950 is around $150

Yea that PSU could damage that system not to mention it is nowhere near powerful to power any dedicated GPU.  That should be the most important upgrade on the list right now.  https://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-m12ii520bronze that one is a good one to start off with but doesn't give you much room for expansion.

Surprisingly it had a GPU a r5330. But it's not really capable of running much above 30fps.

Yeah sorry that's what I meant. Only buy the GPU and PSU for £100- 150

I would shop used then if that is your budget.  A 7950 won't be too much used and going with a tier 3 or if you have to tier 4 PSU around 500-600W would work.

Edit: The PSU I would probably buy new but a tier 1 or 2 if you can get one still under warranty for cheaper than a tier 3 or 4 new than go with that.

Yes I just took a look on ebay and nearly had a heart attack.

It might take a little while to find one for a good price.  I am looking for a x79 motherboard on there right now for a friend and there have been some in the $80-90 range but all the ones on there now are over $200.  Sometimes you just gotta be lucky but if you have patience you can find some good deals.

Some people need the box for RMAs or collecting, that has no basis on the card costs.  They tend to go anywhere from $70-110 US (no idea what that is in pounds).

Does anyone know how good a 7770 is?

Look at the hierachy, basically anything on that 660Ti tier or higher is good enough to not bottle neck you.  Basically just find the cheapest one you can find.  Stay away from any 5 series or older Nvidia cards or 8 series or older AMD.
