Is MSI Z170A GAMING PRO M5+6700k a good choice

Hey guys, 

 

I'm thinking of buying a new PC and wanted to know what do you guys think about a combination of

msi z170a gaming pro m5 and i7 6700k.

 

Is it all right or would you happen to have a better suggestion? Mostly about the mobo as I'm pretty much set for the 6700k

It's a good board. There are some cheaper options, but if you're not on a tight budget there's not a whole lot of reason to move down.

And if you were to recommend a cheaper option, would there be any specific board that would go well along 6700k ?

The Asus Z170-A and MSI Z170A SLI PLUS are both cheaper options which are decent.

I haven't heard too much about the MSI Z170 boards but I personally will always go with Gigabyte or Asus for mobos. I am running a Gigabyte Z170 Gaming 7 with my 6700K & have been very happy with it.
