system produces too much heat, running the simulation runs one of my graphics cards to over 100 degrees.

Btw Rig is amd 8350, 32gb ram, and 2x280x's, in a mid tower atx. Any advice on keeping it cool? besides liquid cooling, which i would love to do if i had the money. Its just the one graphics card running so hot the other one doesnt get nearly in the ballpark temperature wise.

Looking at the results of other users, my ones do not seem to add up!

I have tested three times and have only reached a fidelity of 4 after seeing people in the ready region with the same if not worse specs.

Almost everything on my PC was closed excluding MSI afterburner and some other GPU status monitoring programs and still low results.

It could possibly be a cooling problem but GPU usage was at 100% and I was even overclocking a bit.

I'd love to see what other people think about this or I am just being arrogant that my PC is not a great as I thought it was! :D

Specs

GPU: MSI gtx 780ti

CPU: i7 3770k @ 3.5ghz

So, my new and first self-built PC (2 months old now) perfored as expected :D

Specs:

CPU: i7-5820K

GPU: GTX 980 Ti

RAM: 16GB DDR4-3200 (2x8, G.Skill Ripjaws V)

Overclocked only by the OC Genie of my MSI Motherboard (yet, I'll overclock it when I need to, which is probably still a few years from now)

Rig name - my rig
APU - AMD A8-7600
GPU - 2x Radeon HD7850 1gb i got these babies cheap. core overclocked to 1ghz with a mem clock of 1200mhz.
Ram - Gskill ripjawsX 16gb 2133mhz
Score - capable

why am i not surprised that my mid range GPUs ended up giving me a medium result.....

Edited on March 10th 2018, Wow revisiting a thread almost exactly 2 years later what a weird coincidence.

Figured id update the post seeing as running games with crossfire GPUs isnt realistic(at-least for most titles) and i was looking back into VR recently after changing my build. Oddly enough a CPU upgrade was the last thing i needed to run VR but that APU was the last thing i wanted to keep in my build moving forward.

System:

CPU: R5-1600(3.8GHz)

Memory: GSkill TridentZ 16GB 2933MHz

GPU: Single HD7850 1GHz Core clock, 1200MHz 1gb VideoMemory

OS: Windows 10

Status: Not Ready.

Not surprised, not exactly a high end card, but still a good card for most games at full 1080p.

looks like a nope for me.

Thing that gets me, what about other games? Portal was never actually that demanding and at the resolution of the vive or rift, I could easily get 90 fps

I think my PC did surprisingly good. My score just passes a stock GTX 980 (according to other scores I've looked at).

Rig name: UnhandledException

Not sure why GPU-Z halves the memory speed...
