So I am looking for a power supply for a new computer of mine and I just don't know what to pick. I want to stick with a really reputable manufacturer so I was thinking Corsair.

Would a Corsair RM850i be a good choice? or is there something that I can pick up that might be better or quieter?

Let me know what you think

I have a Evga supernova or whatever its called in my current rig and I really don't like it. It's really loud and makes a annoying humming noise.

I have the EVGA SuperNova 750W G2 and it's usually on ECO mode, which means the fan is off resulting in complete silence almost all the time.

First gen supernova (g1) are bad.  Second gen G2 lineup is literally the best consumer 80+ gold power supplies on the market. They almost never turn on their fans.

If the specs of your system consume less than 425W then you'll never hear the fan on the RMi850. The EVGA GS is also a good option for silence though the fan starts at 25% load.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
