Bottlenecked?

Intel Celeron CPU G1820 & Asus 960 Sstrix 2gb model

I'm going to get an upgrade from Asus 650 Ti to a Asus 960 strix 2gb model,  but I don't know if I will be bottlenecked? I have a Intel Celeron CPU G1820, clock speed of 2.7GHz, 2 Cores and 2 Threads. But I'm running on a Celeron. I may consider to get at least an i3 but I'm on a budget. But, will I get bottlenecked if I tried to combine both of these powers?

Thanks for taking your time to read this ;P

I'd say save your money for a better overally gpu cpu upgrade.

What games do you play? A lot? A few?

I play games such as BF4, Black Ops 3. Demanding titles. I render on my computer and a 650 Ti doesn't cut it. I'm looking for Battlefield High / Ultra.

Yeah, that celeron will really hurt you then. Especially on bf4 as it utilizes multiple cores.

I have a Intel Celeron CPU G1820, clock speed of ...

most games will not run at all on that, sorry...get a quad-core upgrade and your 650ti will suddently feel immensely stronger..

(look for any cheap quad-core chip that your motherboard could handle.)

Get at least 6GB of system memory.

And then think about a GTX 960 upgrade (and maybe PSU)

I agree. Bottlenecking will occur in more demanding titles, and even if you threw a titan in there that won't make up for a slow CPU in full. Go for maybe a GTX 760 or 950 and a CPU upgrade to and i3 or i5.

My budget is £240 to £270 ($337.37 - $379.54 in the US) on Graphics Cards and CPU's, I'm now thinking of buying both, but just a notch down with the graphics cards. I saw a ASUS Strix 950 model for £145 (£203.91) and an i5 processor (i3-4160) for £99 ($139.24), add them up, we have £241 (£338.92) Now keeping in mind from your help, will that go down well? Just to be on the safe side of things.

ASUS STRIX 950 (GPU): https://www.asus.com/uk/Graphics-Cards/STRIX-GTX950-DC2OC-2GD5-GAMING/

Thanks for your help :)
