When is it actually expected? I see anywhere from April to September and nobody seems ever remotely agreed upon when it might be coming.

Any rumors? Leaks? Any idea when news might come of a date?

I need a GPU upgrade and I'm considering picking up a EVGA 980 Ti Hybrid but if Pascal is coming soon then I wouldn't want to.

Conflicted.

If your not in any rush or absolutely need a GPU right now and can wait, I would recommend just to see what they have to offer. If one of the new GPU's tops the 980ti, then the price of the 980ti will most definitely drop eventually.

I personally have no idea when they will be released for consumers to buy, however I would say probably around September.

It's to my understanding that it hasn't been announced, so any dates or time frames you hear are just speculation anyway.  Just know that a 980ti isn't suddenly going to become obsolete upon the launch of the next generation of video cards.. It's still going to be a kickass gpu :)

Get the 980TI, it will likely be on par with whatever top end card they release. The bigger jump will come when they do a TI release of Pascal sometime next year.

Its not officially announced so all the information you have seen is based on old road maps and some rumors. Until we actually have genuine product release statements we don't know what is coming out when. We don't even know if big Pascal will even be out this year at all, I sure hope it is and I wouldn't buy a Maxwell card now but Nvidia isn't exactly calming peoples fears about what will be offered this year. I anticipate we will see AMD's high end cards before we see Nvidia's, that is usually how this happens and its often 4-6 months ahead, but again speculation.
