Hi guys I just got my 400i and they have the old style of connector is there any difference between the 400i with the old connector and the 400i with the micro jack connector other than the connector?

No, there shouldn't be any difference aside from the connector. They would have refreshed them otherwise.

I'll wish you luck. Those T-connectors can be a bitch.

BZZT wrong. This is why they pay me the big bucks (they don't actually pay me)

HiFiMan has also removed the magnet plate on the updated 400i (the cheese-grater thing that the magnets are attached to).

Does it change anything when it comes to sound?

Might make it more open, but I don't know the details.

So should I send mine back and call the company?

You're asking me to make a subjective call for you?

I'd do it, but I don't know how hard it is to do an exchange what with you living in Denmark.

I am going to call the tomorow and ask why I got the old 400i when I order my pair of 400i

They just contacted me after I wrote to them that I got the older version of the 400i and they are very sorry that I got the old version of the 400i and it was a mistake from them. I am going to send them back to them and when they receive them they will send the new 400i.

Good decision, the new connector is just way better compared to the old one
