XFX HD6870 DD vs ASUS GTX 560TI DC2

Daniel123dk

Ive just bought a Phenom 2 x6 1090T (including an ASUS motherboard) and a XFX HD6870 DD for £50 in total.

The stuff is for my brothers pc which will be used instead of his FX4100 and gtx 560ti.

A thing i want to know, will the hd6870 dd beform better than the asus gtx 560ti?

thanks :)

I don't know if something changed with the drivers, but it seems that the 560 Ti does alot better.

my brothers 560ti might be broken then, it does not do 30 fps at ultra in bf4

I doubt your brother plays at 1600x1200.

It would do worse at 1080p. That's why it wouldn't get 30fps in Battlefield at Ultra.

Plus that 1GB of VRAM will cause stuttering if the textures are at ultra. He should be able to run it at medium with a lot of the eye candy disabled and keep 50-60 FPS.

1GB was standard, but there was a 2GB version too.

Then honestly I don't see much difference between the two. Even at stock the 6870 is faster than the 560 ti. That 2GB VRAM will make a difference when it comes to "eyecandy" so yes, I'd say the 6870 is an upgrade, a small upgrade, but an upgrade none the less :D
