System process high CPU usage.

Artanis02

Hey guys.

I have a Lenovo y70-70 17" i7, SSD, GTX960M laptop.

When its idling (after ~5-10 min), I've noticed an increased fan speed, so i checked the task manager - opening the task manager makes the fan go back down again. So i opened task manger and waited, After a few minutes "System" process was using ~17-22% of the CPU. So I downloaded Process Explorer, and it shows that (under system) the file/process named "ntoskrnl!KelnitializeEvent+0x324" causes the cpu to do that.

Steps taken:

- Udpated wifi/bluetooth drivers

- Disabled/removed bluetooth device.

Can i do anything so that the laptop stops doing that?

Help :(

Check for spyware, do antivirus scan and uninstall all unnecessary and unwanted 3rd party tools.

If you type msconfig into windows search, go to start up tab and uncheck everything except graphics and antivirus. This will stop programs booting on start up that you dont need straight away.

CPU - FX-8350 / GPU - r9 390 / RAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance / Storage - Samsung Evo 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD / Case - Fractal Design R5 / PSU - Corsair HX750i / MOBO - ASRock Extreme4
