SSD Compatibility?

Go to solution Solved by BigBig5,

Well yesterday I got the Crucial BX200 240GB ssd in the mail and I cloned the hdd to it and it booted. So I don't recommend Patriot's Torch LE for boot drives at all.

I am returning a Patriot's Torch LE 240GB ssd for compatibility reasons. I have a family member that has a Compaq Presario CQ43-305LA laptop and I was trying to upgrade it to a Patriot's Torch LE 240GB ssd by cloning Win 10 from the hdd and then clean install Win 10.

Every time I boot it, it would take really long by showing a black screen and a blinking cursor. Also it does this when I wake it up from deep sleep. So then I tested it in my laptop and it boots up like any other SSD I have seen. Also tested my Transcend ssd370 which is in my laptop and placed it in the HP and it booted up fine.

Please

Has anyone had any SSD compatibility problems?

Also I just ordered a Crucial BX200 240GB for the laptop.

I've never heard of compatibility issues with SSDs before. My 120GB 840 EVO has been plugged into damn near everything at this point, and it hasn't had any weird quirks.
