Motherboard-Ga970-d3p rev.2.0

Cpu-AMD FX 8350 black edition

So ive been wanting to overclock with my motherboard instead of using overdrive all the damn time and searched up a bunch on what to do. So im all readied up and hyped up too to start overclocking, but when i get in i am unable to overclock anything, not my ram or my cpu, but somehow others online are able to overclock theirs. I really want to overclock(since i bought an AIO water cooler) but just cant figure out why it wont let me. I set everything to what its supposed to be before i start overclocking, but everything still remains "locked"(its not dimmed out like the ones where you absolutely arent able to touch, but when i try to press enter or double click it i cant do anything it just remains as is, wont even give me options to change it). Is there anything anyone out there knows which would allow me to overclock.

I'm no overclocking expert but I could not make out what you mean from reading this. Only that something is dimmed out so you can't edit it...

what do you mean dimmed out? are you using a program in windows, or are you in the bios?

You should be in the bios for cpu/ ram overclocking.

Did you try using the + and - keys to adjust the values?
