Hi

So I got my boss' laptop because he asked me to format it for him because apparently the windows just stopped booting and the laptop "doesnt work" in general.

First of all, the laptop posts but then some crap ASUS repair tool kicks in and just doesn't do anything even if left overnight. Windows 8 repair tools don't help either.

I enabled usb boot and decided to just install a completely fresh win 8 on his laptop.

But the problem is that even with a win 8 on a bootable usb stick it will only display the win8 logo and then it won't do anything. I tried to boot from the same USB drive and it worked just fine on my own laptop.

What could be the problem and how could I potentially fix it??
