posting then not posting then working?!?

My PC is working atm but i have no idea why?!?!?

Issue:

I had a PC (see PC spec 1) that was running fine for several months, then one night I shut it down all seemed fine nothing out of the ordinary happened. I go to boot the PC up the next morning and nothing, doesn't post I get nothing out of it. I just found this topic but i did run through all of the suggestions here, but no 12. so i put it down to a faulty motherboard, so i use this as an excuse to upgrade. Now after upgrading and having that PC working for a few weeks it has happened again but its a little weirder. I can reset cmos hold the power button down in a strange combination (down for 5 seconds leave for 30 then click it once) this will allow me to power on the MOBO where i get post code A2, this allows me to enter the bios where i enable the M2 drive. I save then exit and then it doesn't post again. Whilst I've been typing this it has randomly turned on and booted into bios, so i made the changes again, and again nothing. I went to get the old spec of my old PC and it randomly turns on again and boots into windows (after nothing for 5 minutes). Im not sure what is happening and would be nice to know what the issue is so i can prevent it from happening again.

Man this sort of stuff has happened to me before and the problem resided in the think I least expected. The power supply..... Yep, even my 80+ silverstone power supply failed. Give a different power supply a test and see if it has better stability.

Quote me if you want me to reply.

Brand Blacklist: Gainward, Silverstone, Cougar, Gigabyte.

Dying PSUs do weird things. My seasonic g750 bit the dust very slowly. Rig worked for several monthes and then my secondary HDDs would disappear randomly. After playing musical HDDs I thought it was a motherboard. So i swapped in my wifes rig mobo (same one) and still no fix. Then after swapping back the computer wouldnt boot or anything. Hit the power and nothing. But I walk away for a day and computer would boot normal and run. Shut down and try powering on 5 min later and nothing. So I ship out the psu for RMA and no problems since.
