Hi Guys, im wondering what DNS servers do people use?  Do u stick to ur ISPs or use different?

 

Ive run namesbench and it claims my ISP is the best and fastest yet if i use googles pages switch and load faster.

 

So what do u use guys?

I know, I was simply saying that I prefer OpenDNS for IPv6 because I know the topology of Hurricane Electric's network.

just switched Primary and Secondary to google and the lag of switching between pages once again goes.

 

So much for namesbench claiming my ISPs DNS is fastest.

How do u setup an IPv6 if your ISP isnt supporting it tho?

If you are looking for a better DNS server, then use a DNS benchmarking tool. https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

 

When you download it, put it in its own folder as it needs to generate a list of available DNS servers, and it will save them in a text file. this list is unique to everyone who runs it as it picks the top few hundred servers before performing a more detailed benchmark.

 

PS, for IPv6, your ISP must have direct support for it, or at best you will get a 4to6 tunnel (which means you are assigned a IPv4 address but they will use a tunnel to provide you with access to IPv6 addresses.
