Quick question, do you already have this build? If you don't what are you using it for?

I'd get a Corsair H100i GTX, H110i GTX, beQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3, or Noctua NH-D15.

You could go budget with the coolermastre hyper 212 evo. Or you could go liquidwith something like the corsair h100i gtx. Mid/high end air cooler could be a noctua NH-D15

then you don't want a Titan X. 980Ti SLI is actually better (a 980Ti will overclock further and be faster).

You don't need a sound card. A 1600w psu (a good 750w psu is already overkill). 16gb of RAM is also overkill for gaming. And Lastly, ROG motherboards are overpriced and the only thing they really offer over cheaper boards is looks.

You can technically go up to 4-way SLI, but the scaling past two GPUs is basically non-existent. Four GPUs would yield a similar (or worse) framerate than two GPUs.

Here's what I would personally build if you just want the best performance you can get and don't really care how much you spend (within reason): (keep in mind, prices fluctuate quite a bit by the day).
