So, through a connection, I'm getting a free PC built for me that I should be picking up Monday. It will have a GTX 960 in it and I am wondering if I should either sell it and upgrade to something like a 980Ti, or will I be fine for now?

Specs for the rest?

It's a 960. Although your statement is still true.

Didn't read what you said, so yeah. The stats of the rest of the machine would help.

The guy said he's either putting a 6600k or a 4670k depending on his descision but prob the 6600k. The purpose is gaming. And yeah, I'll have the full specs Monday when I pick it up. The monitor is an Asus VG248QE

We can't really give any solid advice without knowing the full specs of the system. More than likely you will want to get rid of the 960 though.

DISPLAY: LG CX48 4k OLED    AUDIO: HIFIMAN Arya SE

Assuming there aren't any issues with the rest of the build and you have a normal-low tolerance for lower frame rates, I do recommend selling and upgrading.

However, if your tolerance is of an average non-PC gamer or better (or you can adjust easily to sub 60 fps), the 960 will be completely fine at 1080p with nearly all titles on their highest/close to highest settings.

5800x | Asus x570 Pro Wifi (barely enough for 64GB apparently given it's 2133 and still crashes sometimes) | 64GB DDR4 | 3070 Ti 8GB | Love that whole weeb shit

When talking about video games it's the most demanding game that matters, In your case if you're talking about GTA V, it would be GTA V. And you'll want something stronger than a 960.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
