Old emachine, new life

i am taking a an old emachine and going to gut the MB CPU and ram( all of witch are 6 years old) and going to install new ones. I am looking to make it into a media pc for my tv , the parts i am looking at are CPU, AMD A6-7400 Dual-Core APU Kaveri Processor 3.5GHz Socket FM2+ (link here). Mother board, GIGABYTE GA-F2A68HM-H FM2+ (link here), and the ram Crucial 4GB DDR3-1600 (link here). I am just wondering if these will work well and a internet computer and can do some light media work to. thanks. :)

That CPU is fairly old already, and for media work (not sure how light you're going) it may not be that great. Can you let us know exactly what "media work" you'll be doing, and what sort of budget you are on?

i mean it all works yes, but i'd go with 6 ram and an A8. Use pcpartpicker(it makes life easy) also be sre the psu, hdd, and case are suited

What is your budget and in all honesty if you just want to play movies, a raspberry pi2 cost like $70 for everything you need.

by light wight i mean playing you tube , netfix at HD and also basic internet browsing. my budget is no more than 150 USD, the psu i have is not the best but it will do, and i am using the case i have with it. i will try out pc partpicker, let you know then.
