iCE version of the snowball usually is enough, and is EVEN cheaper :)

I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND the blue snowball/yeti

Rode mics are simply one of the best microphones you can buy. You will be VERY happy with that product

Anything Rode is going to be good.

 

But, unless your super serious about this, I would say get a cheaper mic for now. I was tempted to get a rode or audio technica mic (both over $100) but instead I went with the $40 cad u37(?) mic. I'm glad I did because I got bored of commentaries and now it's only used for skype calls and gaming (which is overkill even for that mic). If I did pay the expensive one I would have been PISSED.

 

PS - Try out the snowballs, both versions suck big snowballs lol. The cad is 10x better and is better sized.
