Cleaning new tubes/rad question

HeyGuys

So the parts for my loop just arrived but I have 2 remaining questions.

- Is it important to flush the tubes/rad with the coolant before filling the loop?

- I only have 2L of coolant for triple 120mm rad (40mm) gpu-block & cpu-block. Will it be sufficient if I have to flush the tubes/rad first?

Thanks!

Of course, it's very important (especially with alphacool's rads).

Just fill the rad with distilled water and shake. Stop repeating this when u see no particles comming out. Distilled water is cheap and can be bought at any car parts store.

So it's better I don't use my coolant for that, but just go buy distilled water

@yannickverc It is important (to an extent) you flush the radiators since they'll probably have some dust or dirt from the manufacturing factory &/or sitting in a stockpile. Tubing is less of a case to flush out but if waters cheap & the tubing you have is in large quantity I don't see why you wouldn't.

What radiators do you have? Maybe the manufacturer you bought them from lists the capacity of water it's capable of holding.

Yeah, sure, 'cause u don't wanna waste your expensive coolant.

And you need to flush the loop every 6-12 month anyways.

Everything is from EK water blocks

A. Yes, it is always recommended to flush the rads with distilled water. Tubes are optional but it won't hurt to do so.

B. 2L should be more than enough for a 360, and two blocks. My personal system only took a little over 1L with a 360, 280, and two blocks. If there isn't enough coolant, added distilled water to top it off won't hurt.
