Windows 10 - windows old after update.

Hello. So i made a fresh clean install of Windows 10 Pro from USB to formatted SSD partition in GPT. After finished installation my system get just updated from system PANEL update. But on my partition i have windows.old ,folder. Why? I made a clean Windows 10 Pro. I dont upgrade from Windows 7,8. Thx for help.

It it has any older Windows files after the change, that may be the cause of it. Regardless, you can just remove it anyways.

Sometimes does that. I believe it might have to do with leftover data when Windows makes the temporary parition for installing Windows.

What's inside the folder anyways? A full copy of your installation?

If you are part of the Windows Insider program, it's going to download new builds that are available.
