Minecraft Bukkit server

Go to solution Solved by RavingSmurfGB,

Thanks every one for the support i have ditched hamachi and have managed to get it working :)

I have a Minecraft bukkit server for me and friends, I use LogMeInHamachi to run the server. You have to be in the group and have to have the program to connect to the server. I was just wondering if there is a diferent way to connect without any one having to install a program

Port forward your computers IP via the modem and let your friend join you by entering your email but this is a much complicated method since it's different for everyone because of the modem you may have. You can find some useful tutorials around YouTube if you search carefully you may find some referring both to the modem you have and to Minecraft. Also like mentioned above giving out your computers IP can be dangerous and effectively you can open yourself to hackers if you give your IP away to untrusted people.

No, however hamachi makes all of the PC's be effectively on your LAN which means that any port is open and opens you up to problems.  better to just port forward that one port

I have port forwarded will it work without hamachi ? and what  would i type in to the ip slot in game if i dont use hamachi ?

If you have port forwarded it you should just have to type in your external IP that can be found here http://www.ipchicken.com/. You don't need hamachi . One point to note is that if your IP address changes you will have to give everyone the IP again but you can set up a free dynDNS name from someone like no-ip.com to make it easier.
