I'm using the ASUS K501L for uni, and it's pretty amazing.

The laptop has an Aluminum finish with very good build quality.

It's very thin, and weighs only 2kg.

The keyboard is very nice, and I miss using my mechanical keyboard only a little :P

On top of that it has very good specs (pretty decent for on-the-go gaming)

Prices start at around 800, and go up from there.

After using it for a couple of months, I can suggest you this laptop very much

This, ^^^ Used ones are also fine. They are built like bricks.

yeah ive played around with a elitebook and loved it

And to think the one I was using hadn't been used for over a year. It had an i7 Q840 and Quadro FX 1500 and cost more than twice as much as my laptop (and is 3 times as old) but still runs like a beast.

It got taken off the domain at work because it was turned off so long.

They are not ugly, they are just business minded and not fashion minded.I mean it is not a really good looking laptop like a dell xps 13 it is more a stealth laptop that nobody thinks much of until they see it is a thinkpad.
