I have this build and I wanted to know if it's pretty solid. Anything I can do to make it cheaper without sacrificing power? I thought about using the MSI Z97 PC Mate rather than the Krait Edition board. Didn't see a lot of quality reviews on YouTube for the PC Mate. I'll probably keep the GPU because I get a copy of Hitman with it from Newegg.

Thanks!

(I made that third topic anyway didn't I.)

No SSD on a build of that price? Ouch.

Also, that wifi dongle likely won't be that great unless you're in the same room as the router.

You won't think you need one until you realize the collective life's worth of time you're wasting by waiting for your HDD to load shit up.

that was in regard to the AMD 970A version. I love my Z97S Krait though. It looks great, has expansion, and houses all my hardware perfectly

Massive. You can start the computer in seconds, you can load things almost instantly...I'll never go back to an HDD based system. Actually, I've decided to never add an HDD to my system again. All future builds will be SSD only, with an external array for mass storage.

So does just having an SDD for booting Windows speed up doing everything?

they're alright

if you consolidate the part list to just newegg, it's a bit more expensive, but all your components arrive at the same time

I bought a keyboard from Outlet PC a week ago. Great speedy shipping, very well packaged.

Anything stored on the SSD will boot faster. If Windows has to search your SSD for files during boot, it will slow down.

So what should I install on an SSD?

Windows. Plus your favorite games, if you have space.

You need to make sure to move My Documents and My Pictures and such to the HDD, since windows will stick those on the disk it's installed on by default.
