Hello, all. I'm building my first PC soon and have been doing a fair bit of planning. Here's what I've got so far:

http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Epsilon_Coppen/saved/T3HPxr

I'm still iffy on the case, because I like that case but I prefer the S340, but the S340 doesn't have a 5.25" drive bay for an Optical Drive, and I want an Optical Drive to install my OS and whatever other drivers with. But is there a way I can do all that without an Optical Drive?

EDIT: I found a solution. Thanks for your help!

You could grab a Windows product key and install it that way by activating it

Any reason on why you want a reference GTX 970? Because $380 is pretty overpriced for one IMO.

Would go for an SSD and a 390 or at least a non-reference card. Otherwise, it looks good. Thank you for using that PSU initially instead of a $100+ 750w one.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

You can get Windows 10 on a usb or download to your own. Once the machine is attached to the web, everything can be downloaded. Some systems need network controller driver installed but that too can usually be put on a usb for installation.

EVGA 210-GQ-0650-V1 and SeaSonic SSR-550RM are better psu.

There are many less expensive, higher performing, better cooled GTX 970.

An ssd should be included.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
