safe graphics card voltages?

Ok so i have found that my graphics card has suddenly begun to screw up, it has the same overclock as before and it was mostly fine, its kind of crashy and dosent like me right now. well i was just wondering how far i can push core mV, because i used to have it at +52mV and now i raised it after every crash so now im up to +65mV because i really dont want to drop my overclock now, not that i need it or anything its just because i want to brag about allways having 60+ in almost all games maxed out.

 

graphics card is a Gigabyte G1 970 Gaming with the core at 1629MHz and the memory at 3000 something, cant remember lol. so how far is safe with the voltage because i dont want to mess it up or anything :P

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

You can't put it up high enough to cause damage without bios modding.

 

The way GPU boost works, when you increase the voltage, the frequency rises automatically with it too, so simply increasing your voltage limit isn't the solution, set the max voltage to whatever you're comfortable with then tweak the core offset to manage stability.

  • Graphics card: Asus GTX 980 Ti (Temp target: 60c, fan speed: slow as hell)
  • CPU: Intel 6700k @ 4.2Ghz

Yeah, just wack it to max then tweak your offset frequency. Not many 970s will go to  1629MHz  without issue, so you may be pushing it too far.
