DisplayPort monitor issues.

DividedByZero

So yeah, I'm usually a DIY guy but this is an issue I can't find a fix for. So I've turned to you and hope you can help me <3.

I've got a triple monitor setup (see screenshots that I have attached for more info). 2 monitors are connected via DisplayPort and the third one is connected via HDMI. However when I start up my PC one of the DP monitors doesn't boot up and I have to replug it to get it to work. Doing this EVERY time when I start my PC is annoying as you could imagine. The HDMI monitor boots up every time. When the computer goes to sleep mode none of the DP monitors boot up at all and it only boots to the HDMI monitor.

If you need further info to help me I'd be happy to send it.

Thanks in advance,

DividedByZero

I've heard of times when you just have to reverse the cable.

If that isn't it then I'm not sure.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

i've been battling displayport issues all day today, and i think i've nailed my problem: i plugged the display into a non-grounded outlet, and it seems to be doing so far.

the "permanent" fix i applied to see if it stays good for the next few days (the non-permanent solution had bare copper) was put a piece of paper around the earth prong on the display power connector.

it's been doing fine trough 4-5 reboots so far.
