Doesn't seem like AMDs motto of throwing more VRAM at a card.

They are lower end chips, so I'd say 4GB is enough, even the 8GB on the higher end 390 and 390X are way more than you need.

you'd think years after GDDR5 existed, we'd stop seeing 2GB solutions by now.

Don't fail me now as i've failed you then.

Neither Nvidia nor AMD is going to release a new "gaming geared" card that isnt fully dx 12_0 and dx 12_1 compliant. AMD has even said themsleves that every card will be using the Polaris architecture so can all of you who keep talking about rebrands stop?

I Bet Nvidia does not do Dx12 fully

No, they will. Not doing so is suicide.

Rumours mean nothing. As far as Im concerned, there are going to be re-brands. but good rebrands, All I think they will do is refresh fiji, on 14nm with HBM 2/1

Firstly, AMD cannot just shrink fiji. You evidently have no understanding of the very basics of this technology; a 14nm fiji would be expensive to produce and quite frankly stupid, as a new design that was made for 14nm is likely to be more efficient/powerful. Secondly, AMD has enough money to create a whole new lineup; it'll stretch them, but they will be able to. Anyways, if they don't they will see profits fall most likely.
