cant play bf3 online sp works fine

i just bought bf3 and single player works fine but whenever i try to play online it cuts me off when in batlelog it says logging in on my game client it says loading, any ideas?

How long do you let it load for.  unfortunately bf3 has been known to have very long load times.  to this day it still takes me minutes to load into a map once i've hit connect.

i let it run till it says: You were disconnected from EA Online (1) (it closes the bf3 client)

could it be some ports i have to open? if so i cant play till my dad comes home

Are you trying to only access official EA servers? or are you trying everything. and no you shouldn't have to open any ports, unless your using an extremely picky router.

EA'd. Try logging out of origin AND battlelog then try relaunching battlelog. If that fails, WAIT. I had these problems too and time solved them.

Try doing a 'repair install' in Origin ?  Could also try manually updating punkbuster (may or may not do anything, haven't had to since CoD2).

 

But, I'd try different servers (make sure you have a decent ping / select your country).  BF3 has been known to be buggier than all getout, and sometimes their servers seem to timeout

 

FWIW, I did, and do port forward for almost any competitive FPS (i like to always have smooth connectivity   ).  It might make a difference  (Netgear WNR2000v2 here)

Try to open browser and not open/login to origin. Try different servers in you region and everytime it says disconnected by EA online, press reconnect. I have this problem occasionally but not constantly. Also try to allow BF3 and PunkbusterA&B in you firewall.
