Mainly Maya Rendering Machine

I'm making a build for a buddy of mine who needs a powerful machine for graphics rendering and effects rendering. Normally, I'm used to making builds for gaming PCs so this is a bit of new territory for me, although I know over the years, the line between rendering PCs and gaming PCs has been blurred it would still be great to get some input from you guys :)

Excuse the prices, it's all in Australian, and it's what we have to put up with.

What is the budget?

Is this being used professionally, i.e. to produce income?

Budget, anywhere from 2.5k - 3.5k... It's meant to be a semi professional build used to produce minor income

Awesome, I'm assuming you selected SLI/Crossfire because raw GPU performance is king when rendering?
