Thanks Shaun,

I started off that way, cheap dual core CPU and a 750 IT card. problem is the price inflates to much when you convert that to Canadian ($670 before shipping)

i think i need to stick to an A10 APU overclocked with high speed RAM may 2400mghz

Sorry i just noticed that! I will retry! haha

thanks Shaun, look at my first PC Part Picker link on the first page. very close to the same. do you think your build would out preform this one?

It's hard to say.  The 370 is a better video card, but the g3258 is a better processor.  I think for 720/1080p gaming not on max settings, you probably wouldn't see much of a difference.  I think that the intel build would be better if you'd want to upgrade later on, but the AMD build would be good if you're just going to toss it when it becomes obsolete.  My brother has a PC with a gtx 750 (not ti) and a phenom x4 (forgot which one) and he comfortably plays all games on 1080p on medium settings or higher.

EDIT:
Here is the comparison between processors

and Video Cards:

Thanks for the reply I will have a look at this tonight.

I am contemplating two options one is a dedicated video card it looks like a traditional computer and the other one is an HTPC  where the case and power supply eat up more cautious than they should  not to mention the added cost of the motherboard being micro ITX and let him choose.  I would be very curious to see how the APU option benchmarks against the dedicated graphics card option
