MOTHERBOARD: MSI B150M MORTAL

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V F4-2400C15D-16GVR 8GB PC4-19200 DDR4

HARD DRIVE: Toshiba P300 3.5", 1 TB, 7200rpm, 64MB, SATAIII

CASE:  Cooler Master N300 ATX Mid Tower Case

SSD: Samsung 120GB 650 Series Basic SSD (MZ-650120Z, SATA3)

POWER SUPPLY: XFX TS 550 550W 80Plus Bronze

The only thing that stands out is that you have a Z board with a non overclocking CPU. You can save a bunch by getting an H170 instead. It would be a good idea to upgrade to an i5 honestly especially if you save enough money from the h170 instead of the z170. You will see a significant difference in performance.

No, now that Sky OC was disabled by Intel. Huh....

I believe asus has been the only one to release the bios update that disables it. you could still do although I would call this and "Advanced" path to take as the bios could be updated and you would lose your OC.
