i have $350 to spend on my pc, was wondering if i should go with the 960 4gb card and a 250gb SSD or just get the r9 390 and be done with graphics cards for a while.

never owned a gpu in my life but still want it to be powerful enough to play good games and make them look nice. thanks for any opinions and responses

I just don't like recommending that card because it's loud, but for people who dont mind or have a case with sound dampening material, that's a good combo.

You could just make a custom fan curve but w/e :P

I have the card and I have to agree. It's the loudest thing in my case by far. Even with a custom curve. I've also had one die, and it doesn't OC very well.

Get R9 390 for sure.

Later when you get more money, buy SSD.

You can sell your old GPU and later even HDD to get money for SSD faster :)
