will ssd slow down?

keiwein2
Go to solution Solved by Oshino Shinobu,

SSDs get slower when they're near full. Only data that is on that SSD will be slowed down, so the OS files and applications on other drives should not be affected unless they store data on the near full SSD.

so i have 2 samsung 500gb 850 evos, if i fill up the one that doesnt have the operating system on it will is slow down the computer? thx in advance! :)

If you fill it up to 95% yes. Keep it under 90% preferably.

No, it won't affect the computer unless you're writing data to the SSD which is either close to full or has stale data on it that wasn't removed by Trim.
