I'm after a Bluetooth gaming mouse for my new gaming laptop I bought.

the reason I want a Bluetooth mouse is because I don't want any dongles (no mater how small) sticking out!

only recommendations Google throws up is the razor orochi and that doesn't tickle my pickle!

the mx master looks good.. but doesn't get a great write up for gaming..

soo I'm open to suggestions!!

Gaming PC: • AMD Ryzen 7 3900x • 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz • Founders Edition 2080ti • 2x Crucial 1tb nvme ssd • NZXT H1• Logitech G915TKL • Logitech G Pro • Asus ROG XG32VQ • SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

Laptop: MacBook Pro M1 512gb

I dunno I use my MX Master for everything, from editing and 3d modeling to playing CSGO or Star Citizen, and it performs amazing. Dunno what people would dislike about it. If you have any question regarding it feel free.

The only thing, maybe, is the lack of the ability to turn mouse acceleration off, but I'm used to it so tbh it doesn't really bother me.

As far as gaming bt mice go, there's also the:

  • R.A.T. M from MadCatz
  • M.O.U.S. 9 from MadCatz

There's also the g700s from logitech, but that one requires a small, but none the less necessary receiver.

RuneScape is still the best MMO ever made.

MX Master all the way! Just turn acceleration off in Windows and you're good. It's weird though, my old Performance MX had an independent acceleration option.

In the Control Panel, go to "mouse" and it should be under pointer options I believe? The option titled "Improve mouse accuracy" or something.

For casual gaming a MX master or something like that will be fine but if you plan to be competitive I would ditch your dreams of bluetooth. Look at a wireless mouse like the Steelseries Sensai Wireless...

Oooh, that disables mouse acceleration? really? (enchance pointer precision, is the tickbox I have)

Edit 1: Btw, I just tested, mouse acceleration is still present.

Edit 2: Wait I'm an idiot, enabling it turns acceleration on. It was disabled before. I hadn't noticed. ha.

Huh, if there's any left I sure don't notice it. In that case, it may be acceleration inherent in the sensor (which is weird since the Performance MX has the same one).

Yeah it was me being dumb, it was off before, I just didn't realize I had no acceleration since there wasn't a toggle in LG's software.

Oh right. Yeah not sure why not, the Performance MX had a full slider to control how much acceleration but that's gone with the Options software. In any case, there will always be a tiny amount as its a laser sensor.

Oooo can you elaborate, I didn't know that was one of the differences between optical and laser. (tho, tbh, I'll still take tracking on glass over no acceleration xD) (I can use the mouse on everything. EVERYTHING!!!)

Also I own the Performance MX, but don't remember seeing an acceleration slider there either. Maybe my memory is just shit.

That's probably one of the bigger differences, I'm not sure why it happens, it just does :P The glass thing is amazing. Most of the time the mouse is on my desk, but I also take it to use with my Surface Pro 4 on the go.

The option was in the old SetPoint software.

doesn't the sensai have a large receiver? as it looks like it's an all in 1 docking/receiving station.

I love my rat 9 but again that's not portable or a small reviever.

they do a Rat m office which is perfect.. except it's not avaliable in the UK as far as I can tell and only the smaller lesser rat m mobile is here.

Id settle for a small USB dongle thing.. if I had to.. but if I likes the mouse that much I'd want to be able to buy an additional receiver so I can use it on my pc! (yes unplugging it and plugging it into my pc is too much effort lol or more sensibly if I leave the laptop at work I don't want to be without  a pc lol)
