It's a vertical PCI-E slot for cards that don't need a direct connection to the motherboard.

What is this on my case for? I dont know the correct term for it. Sorry!

Spoiler

What on earth is that for? Its like a vertical graphics card slot althought graphics cards require two of these to be removed.

Don't most cards use like 2 PCI-E slots?

Also, what exactly can be used in it?

Not sure really... Maybe for a sound card?

its really strange, And even if it did fit onto the rail, why put it on that and not just leave it directly on the mobo?

This is for things that go into a PCI slot in the case but aren't connected to the motherboard (like fan controllers)

Surely that would look ugly  with a window? All of the options would unless its a GPU or something.
