Hello everyone! I am currently searching for the excellent headphones for the best experience and immersion while watching movies and spending hours on games such as The Witcher 3. I've had my experiences with gaming headsets and I'm just not satisfied so I'm hoping that quality high end headphones will be a amazing alternative. Thanks so much for any help or recommendations! :)

Hi. Check out this thread first:

Also, future audio related topics you may need to post can be put in the Audio section on the forum. Home Theater Equipment is only slightly related to headphones, whereas the Audio subforum would be better.

Thanks! :)

Personally I prefer earbuds because I find headsets to be heavy and uncomfortable as time goes on and with things like different size interchangeable earbuds and different materials as well. In my experience properly fit foam earbuds are completely comfortable, don't come out during a full work day or 5mile+ 1 hour run, and just as noise isolating (without needing additional battery power to do it).

Sony GR07 Mk2 Try them out. $130 with a crystal clear sound platform and will kick the ass of any headphones at the same price and competes with stuff in the $300 price range.

So you are trying to tell me that a 5mm driver can produce a clearer and .ore accurate sound than my 50mm in my sennheiser he558? And what headphones need power for noise isolation, you mean noise cancelling? And all headphones will need power for noise cancellation.

High end iems don't use dynamic drivers, and yes I bet my A12 would not only better than the hd558, but it probably competes with even the hd800. Size doesn't matter for BA drivers.

1) Yes, the quality is crystal clear and competes with $300 model headphones. (I'm assuming you meant hd not he) I'm not the only one that thinks so either, feel free to read some reviews from Amazon or Anythingbutipod.
2) Yes, noise cancelling is what I meant.
3) Yes they would need it to have that feature, but with replaceable tips you can use foam tips that come in every size imaginable (Some people even get custom molds taken of their ear canals for 100% perfect fits) and I find one of the standard foam variations alone fits me well enough that I can't pick up outside sounds at all.

And the volume can go way beyond anything I would ever listen to music at to a level that causes fairly intense pain so I don't see any point in needing massive drivers. Having a smaller device but closer to your eardrums is clearly ideal.

IEMs are a different animal. When the driver is inside your ear canal, it doesn't have to move nearly as much air.
